How do I link to photos on Dropbox/Carousel

I store my photos to Dropbox/Carousel. I want to link to some of them on this forum but it doesn't seem to work.

For example here is a link that I get when I click on Share at Dropbox. "https://www.dropbox.com/s/xh221gjv4i3mjl2/2015-05-09%2013.11.16.jpg?dl=0". When I try to post the photo here via a URL in img tags it doesn't work - either with or without the ?dl=0 at the end. Hence the two broken links below.

But if I put that URL directly into my browser it works. (But perhaps this is due to authentication issues).

Anyone have any suggestions? I like Carousel/Dropbox as it will automatically upload photos from my iPhone. I can't use the direct iCloud upload due to the security software on my corporate issued iPhone.

Well, I got it to show as a hyperlink, but I'm still stumped on getting it to show as an image via IMG. Ggrrrr.

In the bar above where you type your text, there is a icon that looks like a picture. Click on that then choose, URL, and add the link in the dialog box.

Edit:Ozzy47 is spot on but just in case that does NOT work for you, here is another method.

I've never used either service, but I do use PhotoBucket and they make it easy. The format of the Image tag is as follows:

-IMG=http://i840.photobucket.com/albums/zz326/sevenof400/The%20Lads/Many%20Mallerys.jpg-/IMG=

EXCEPT that I have replaced a left brackets [ with a hyphen - and the right brackets ] with the equal sign = so you can see the IMG statement here.

That same line (from above) when properly formatted produces this:

If you can find the URL for the picture you want to use, simply replace the URL in the line above (that's the stuff including the http and continuing through jpg), change the brackets (as noted above) and you should be good to go.

@ozzy - That is what I did but the URL is different from the one that Texas Splash linked to and what you used.

@Texas Splash - how did you get that URL? That is not the same as what I got for some reason.

And isn't using the Icon the same as enclosing the URL in IMG tags?

If you hover over the image in dropbox, right click it, and choose Copy Image Location, paste that url in the image tags.

Wayner, I believe I got that URL by right-mouse clicking the pic and going to properties.

Bbodb1 - That is a great pic of the pooches taking a plunge.
