How much did you save by doing an owner build? I'm trying to determine if doing an owner build can get an IG pool into my budget? I know it's highly variable but roughly 5%? 15%?

are you going to do any of the work yourself?? that will be the big cost savings. are you just trying to act as the GC and direct hire the subs? if so GC markup for overhead and profit is variable, but probably around 10-20% depending on the size of the operation. you would also need to check with your local jurisdiction to make sure you can act as the contractor and pull permits, etc.
