Hayward Ecostar Not Sucking Water during Prime

Hello, really looking for some help. We opened our pool last week. Our Hayward pump was working just fine and sucking water during prime. I shut the pump off after about an hour. A couple days later it no longer works.

Here is what happens:
When I turn the breaker on for the pump the display reads that it is priming for 3 minutes, however the pump is quit and obviously not sucking water. Th display then kicks into its scheduled times we have set and still nothing happens.

Could this be air in the pipes causing the motor on the pump not work?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Yes. Do you have an inground or above ground pool?

First, check to make sure you are getting full voltage to the pump. Second, shut down the pump with the breaker off for 2 minutes. start back up. Let us know what happens.
