Just had my pool and spa replastered now have leakage of water in spa( about 2.5 inches in 12 hours) Have put in new check valve kits and new jandy valve diverters and serviced the clorinator. Put in new light bulbs and gasket in spa and pool lights . Pool was down for one month renovation and refilled 3 weeks ago Any ideas on where to go next to find leak. mike o'rear [email edited out for spam prevention]

Try a bucket test on the pool. Sort of. Set a plastic bucket or pitcher or whatever on a pool step and fill it up to weight it down. Then mark the water level. See if the pool level rises overnight. If so, you have a bad check valve or something. If the pool doesn't rise but the spa goes down, you have a leak.

I have the same situation. If the water in the spa only drops 2.5 inches, will that be enough to see a difference in the pool level?
That depends on relative surface area. If the spa is 1/10 the area of the pool, you'll see 1/10 the rise in the pool, or 1/4". If the spa is 1/6 the surface area, you'll see 1/6, about 7/16".
