Zeo best out of return

Well I thought I was fighting Algae all last year
Brownish streaks all over the floor.
I just opened the pool Sunday Sparkling clean and clear.

Got the pool filled and ran the pump on high Monday nite
This morning I see the streaks of brown are back ??? After one day could it be algae already?

I will admit when the rookie pool installers installed the zeobest they didnt use the cap thingy . Im afraid I got Zeobest in the lateral area now
So Im debating about refilling the filter with new zeobest using the disperser thingy

Ill now more tonight when I get my FC levels and all that
If the fricking Algae came back that fast Im gonna cry

Do the down steaks brush away when you brush them? If not from my reading on here, it may be iron stains.

Yes I just took then brush to them and they disperser.
I also tested for Free CL real quick its at 20

So Im thinking its the zeobest coming out of the return
I have a new WaterTech POOL BLASTER MAX HD coming, I will be able to examine the contents after I vacuum
That mat help determine what it is

**** I kept the CL high all last summer think I was fighting Algae

Got the balster and checked out the filter
Sand or zeobest for sure
Im relived.
Will wait till fall to tear apart the filter and find the issue

Well im researching
Wondering if the zeobest is leaking in from a gasket or something else other then a lateral?
Should I take the cap off the Filter and inspect?
I was going to wait till fall and really dig into the filter and the zeobest issue.

But now Im wondering it it could be something other than a broken lateral?
