Should my SWG turn on/off with pump?

Got a breeze 340 installed last week. Noticed yesterday. The unit doesn't turn on or off with the pool pump. Should it? If so what could the problem be?

I am not familiar with that system. Usually you want the SWG to be powered off the same timer as the pump.

If you turn off the circuit breaker to the pool pump, does the SWG turn off? If it does, it seems like the SWG is attached in parallel with the pump at the breaker or attached to the line screws of your timer instead of the load screws. SWGs are meant to be powered only while the pump is powered. While the flow switch for the cell is preventing it from generating chlorine when it shouldn't, you might get longer life from your controller if you attach it so it only turns on while the pump is running.

it should be wired the same as the pump .. is this the system you have?

It is wire to the pump timer switch. He must have put it on a constant power lead. I will take a pic when i get home.

Looks like he has the hot going to a line...

The white wire coming out of the black cable to the left is the SWG cable
