This is the first time I've tested a positive for CC’s in my pool. Here are the numbers:

FC 7
CC.5
PH 7.4
TA 130-140
CYA 30 - still creeping this number up after my partial drain/refill last week

We were gone most of Saturday all of Sunday so early Saturday morning I tested FC's at 4 and figured that I would just double the amount to ensure it held until Monday morning. The FC's did hold. I expected a bigger drop…

We did have storms and while the water is sparkling and clear there is a lot of debris in the pool. I’m going to be cleaning it soon.

I’m thinking the presence of junk on the bottom of the pool is contributing to the presence of CC’s? If I clean the pool do I still need to do a SLAM?

In the future, is it best to take readings sans debris?
