I was curious.
Is there any benefit to keeping the pH on the lower side i.e. 7.3 or 7.4?
It seems to currently hover at that level and I have in the past brought it back up to 7.6.
I sense there's not much difference between the numbers but was just wondering.
There is no aerating at this time, just the Polaris sweeper running most of the day. We use liquid chlorine and will be adding borates and salt in the near future.
Thanks

CC .5
pH 7.3 or 7.4 (hard to tell)
TA 70
CYA 40 (but the rain might be changing that)
Borates NT
Salt minuscule

The natural pH of tears is between 7.3 and 7.4, so keeping in that range may provide some benefit there in terms of a little less eye irritation. The other main benefit of keeping pH in that range is to mitigate high CH levels.

Thanks Mods for the quick replies.
Good to know I can target those levels throughout the summer.
Since we have a vinyl pool, I no longer even bother to test for calcium. So we're good.
Water temp 70, so we will be firing up the heater and swimming very soon. If only the air temps would cooperate.
