Need to Remove Booster Pump?

Hello everyone.

Just bought a Dolphin Nautilus robotic cleaner and love it. Thanks for all the information in the other forum tab.

My question is I have a booster pump (that is on its last leg/season) that will no longer be needed. Obviously I don't have to cycle it through my control panel but do I need to remove this pump. I don't plan on using it anymore. The wife says I should keep it where its at in case the the Dolphin dies which sounds smart. But not using the booster pump for a long duration, will it causes any issues?

Leaving it in place is fine for several years, though given enough time it is likely to eventually cause a problem.
