Solar cover & foam core pipe questions.

Couple questions, I have a 24' round pool. The solar cover as 1 piece is too much to handle. I hate it with a passion.

1.) I found a place that has 1.5" foam core PVC. I didn't ask if they have 1" foam core, if they do have 1" I might get that. I've read people having problems with 3/4" but havent seen any exp with 1". Think 1" is good?

2.) Do I need to cap the ends of this pipe, or no?

3.) 24' round. I'm planning on cutting the cover in half, is this a comfortable size? Should I consider cutting it in 3rds?

1) 1" is going to bend a lot but it depends on the length and weight of the cover.

2) No, you want the water to drain out.

3) Should be OK. I have a 16' and 19' length but I also use 1 1/2" pipe.
