I am assuming I have some issue with a leak past the tubes that is slowly sealed with DE after bumping and returning to filtering mode. Anyone run into this and have a correction? Thanks
After bumping DE filter return water is cloudy for 30 seconds and is getting worse

Welcome to TFP!!!No experience, but logically, I am not surprised. The DE is what traps the dirt. When you bump, the DE and accumulated dirt is knocked off the fingers. When you start the pump, it does not surprise me that some of the dirt might get through before the DE recoats the fingers.
You need to open up the filter and check that none of the fingers are torn and that all the o-rings are in good condition and positioned correctly.
What zea said, while you are at it if you have not opened up lately you may want to do a good cleaning and acid soak to remove CH buildup, if you have high CH levels.
