Aerate the pool

Either one, I either run the pump on my spa without the heater to inject air, or run my fountain to spray the water up into the air. The whole purpose is to increase the area of air to water interface. This will raise the pH without the usual corresponding increase in TA. Then you add acid to lower the pH (and TA), and repeat until desired TA is reached.

You can use your eye returns if you can make them break the surface of the water. Or you can rig up a simple PVC aerator (plenty of pictures if you search on TFP) or you can simply use a sump pump placed on the steps with a hose returning the water back to the pool in a splash pattern. These all aerate the water to help raise the pH as you lower your TA with acid.
