I am looking for a skimmer basket with an upright handle on it so I don't have to put my hand in the basket when I clean them. My current skimmer basket is a Hayward SP1082. The top is 7"W the bottom is 6.5" W and its 5"deep. I have seen the ones with the vertical rods in them but am looking for a basket with a half circle upright handle. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Even if you can't find one, you could probably make on by bending a piece of copper wire. A coat hangar would work but will rust very quickly.

Look for the Skimmer Angel.
It's a handle that attaches to your existing basket. The ones with larger handles just turn into spider resting stations in my pool.

I use a length of lawn trimmer line as a handle. I made it long enough so I can feed it through the finger hold in the skimmer cap. When the skimmer is so full of leaves, no digging for the handle required.
