No spa. Straight line pool almost 20k gallons

My quote is using regular plaster with a grey die - no upgraded aggregate or anything.

Yes, we will have a spa. regular plaster but we are upgrading to quartzscape for $1500.

I have another builder coming out Friday. I am all about these guys making money but I find it interesting that there is a line item for the "builder fee" when, at least I believe, each line item has profit built in. For example, two load of top soil delivered and spread for $650? I can fit a few square yards in my truck for ~$20 per yard.

It is good you are getting that sort of detail on your bid. I have a spreadsheet that will allow me to do a side by side comparison. My co-worker gave it to me to use and he found it on a blog. I would attach it for you but I don't see where i can attach a document in a thread i didn't start.

Have you seen pools with a grey dyed plaster? I ask because the finish will not be uniform in color and some don't care for that. It will likely have mottling (from some to a fair amount).
