I plan to replace my ancient non working heater. I have a 40-50K gallon pool, so planning to buy 400K BTU size.
I have spoken to several different people who all have differing opinions on which brand to buy? Obviously durability, price, and efficiency are the main things I'm considering.
Top 4 brands seem to be:
Raypak
Starite
Pentair
Hayward
The contractor Im leaning towards working with is pushing the RayPak. He says they are easier to repair, and something about them not having a problem with gas pressure.
Also is it worth it to upgrade to the cupro nickel?
