Have some of these left over and want to use to raise CYA. Not sure how to determine how much each tab will raise CYA? Also, can I place in skimmer basket?

That is Trichlor. Weigh a tablet (likely about 8oz) and use PoolMath at the bottom to see what it will add to your pool.

You should not put them in the skimmer unless you are running the pump 24/7, which is a waste of electricity. Best to get a floater.

I have been running pump 24/7 on low speed. This is not necessary?

Usually 4-6 hours of pump run time is plenty. Read: Determine Pump Run Time
