Need help with connections!

I have these two products
(Intex Surface Skimmer Replacement
Strainer Hose Adapter)
(Haviland PA00061-HS30 Forge Loop Pool Hose 30 ft x 1 1/2 in)

They are both approximately 1 1/2" diameter (a little less on inside, a little more on outside).

I want to connect them to each other, and cannot for the life of me find a contraption to do this!

Any ideas?

Can you clarify a little? You're saying the hose is too small to fit over the adaptor nipple?

If they're close to the same outside diameter, go buy a short chunk of rubber hose at the hardware store or auto parts store. Or make something by slicing a section out of a bicycle inner tube that can stretch over. If there's a bike shop in town, they probably have a whole bunch of thrashed tubes in the trash cans.

Intex equipment is always a slightly different size than any other brand. Trying to mix Intex stuff with other brand equipment requires adapters.
