Hi,

I just had my pool drained and acid washed yesterday due to major calcium scaling and alge. However there is still quiet a bit of calcium along the walls. Is this normal after an acid wash or should the acid wash removed all? Pool guy said there is no way an acid wash can remove all calcium. Please help. If anyone knows a good pool maintenece company in the Pearland tx area...please let me know

Thank you!!

Welcome to the forum.

Certainly, the point of an acid wash is to remove calcium scale. Did you have a huge amount? Did you and the contractor have equal expectations? It doesn't seem like you did.

Fair to say that not ALL calcium can be removed from ALL pools but also fair to say you should be satisfied with the work. I'd talk with him again and see if he can make it better......maybe if you have to sweeten the pot, even.
