The bottom drain on my pool was filled in before I purchased my house. I guess it had a leak??? The only return have to the filter is 1 skimmer. Will this cause an issue with a SWG? I am afraid the salt could stay at the bottom of the pool.

To answer your question, no, salt won't stay at the bottom of the pool. A MD is not really needed in a pool. Do you have more than one return and can you point it down into the deep end, or do you not have a deep end? Either way not a big deal.

I have 2 returns. One in the deep end is an eyeball pointed down. The One in the shallow end is a regular outlet.

Your Polaris should help keep the bottom water circulated. In addition, it's a good idea to brush the pool at least once a week.
