Hi all. I'm new here. My above ground, non-butressed oval (15x30) pool is in it's 7th season. I hear yes and no as to the need for an inflatable pool pillow under the cover. Last season was the first one I didn't use one and had no trouble. I live in the northeast (NJ) and I drain excess water off during the winter. Any advice? Thanks in advance.

Welcome to TFP!!

I grew up in Tenafly, so posts from Garden Staters catch my eye.

The pillow reduces stress on the pool walls from the water/ snow and also helps push the water and debris to the sides for more easy removal. They don't cost much and I just think it's a good idea for a covered AG pool
