I opened my pool Sunday and it was green. So, I started the pump and circulation to the pool. As I was about to start the slam, I got called out of town on a job and just got back in town late last night. I had left the pump running while I was gone to keep the circulation going. This morning when I went out to check, before I left for work, I noticed that the pool was almost entirely covered with a white soapy looking material. I am guessing that it might be DE, as I have a DE filter. Any suggestions as to what to do next. Thanks for all the help. :)

You will probably have to open up the filter and check out the grids. It's possible that when the filter clogged from the algae the pressure rose and grids tore. Just a guess on my part. Others will jump in I'm sure.
