Frisco, TX Soil Chemical Injection thoughts?

Are you referring to chemical injections to stabilize the ground under the pool shell? If so, I have a friend in Prosper that built a pool in 2012. The recommendation from their builder was that if they did not hit some solid rock during excavation, injections were highly recommended. They did not hit rock, and he did go with the injections. So far so good.

I talked to PB about piers and they can create as many problems as they can solve. The black clay soil here doesn't sink, it expands a lot when it gets wet and contracts a lot when it dries out. PB said he has seen the soil expand and rip the pool off the piers. The key to stopping or managing or minimizing movement in the soil here is to maintain consistent soil moisture levels. With soaker hoses or micro-irrigation systems on timers.
