We survived Ike. Strong winds and rain. The pool is filled with leaves. Scooped a lot out. I pulled the Polaris 280 out of the water and stored it before the storm. Just went to put it back in,turned on the pump and the back of the pressure relief valve keeps popping off and the hose with the rest of the valve on it shoots into the pool. Nothing is clogged or changed. Can the plastic on the valve change size just by taking it out of the water for a few hours? It pops back on but then can pop back off under pressure. ??? Never did this before. The unit is 1 month old.
Anyway, do I need to get ALL the leaves out before I can start running the pumps and start shocking the pool?
