Guide to modifying the Krystal Clear Sand filter Pump & Saltwater System

Is there a guide to modifying the Krystal Clear Sand filter Pump & Saltwater System like the model CS20110 so the pump runs all the time when the power switch is on and the timer only affects the chlorine generation. I think I'd like to keep the filter running all the time. Anyone have any advice as to why this is a good or bad idea?
