The toilet style autofill that is on my pool recently started leaking and I am in the process of trying to replace it but I'm having a problem getting the old autofill out. The entire thing is at an angle in the bucket and I can only get it to turn a slight amount in either direction. Feeling down to the threads it definitely seems like the old until was crossthreaded and I'm looking for a safe way to remove the old unit and not cause any new damage to the threads. Does anyone have any suggestions?
