We had a sand filter from day 1 have complained to pool builder about sand in pool from filter. We could never prove anything he checked laterals etc. we replaced filter last August used for a couple of weeks and closed pool. So everything is brand new and should not have cracks.
This year we were tired of our pool cleaner not getting all the sand out because that's what pool builder said it is blowing in and too fine for vacuum to get out. We bought a dolphin pool vac that has its own filter so it doesn't go into filter and back out. Our pool was spotless turned filter back on and next morning sand everywhere. Vacuumed again left pool off for 2 days stayed spotless sand is not "blowing in". We then turned the pool back on sand in the bottom. Any suggestions on why both filters have same results?
