Aquarite cell size question

Is the control unit for the AQR9 and AQR15 the same? Or are they sized (power supply) for the cell that comes bundled with them? The main reason I am asking is I wanted to get an AQR9 (which should be fine for our pool), but wanted to know if I could upgrade to the T15 cell later, if I needed/wanted to (without having to replace the entire unit). I did notice that they sold the controller as a standalone, noting that the cell was sold separately, but was not sure if that translated to a single controller across their bundles.

The newer controllers like sold in the last 5+ years can handle any size cell.
There is a setting to select the cell size.

Why not just get the 15 now? It shouldn't have to work as hard and in theory should therefore last longer.

I would go with the T-15 now. The cell will last longer. Also, you would need a longer pump run time with the smaller cell to get the same amount of chlorine at the same percentage.
