Lamp post?

i am currently having an IG pool being built. My questions is should I have a lamp post installed or is this just a magnet for bugs? I'll have 2 led lights in the pool but I'm thinking for outside on the deck area (which I plan to have grass). Thanks, Chris

You definitely want to have a way to light the area. It is good to have the light away from the main sitting area to attract bugs away from the pool. We cannot use our pool light a lot of the time because it attracts bugs into the pool.

Good point about the pool light, I didn't even think of that. I'll go with the lamp post but will put it back a ways from where I'll sit. Thanks for the warm welcome too!
