Intex impeller falling apart

I've had this same issue, does anyone know if this could be fixed by replacing the magnetized pieces inside? In all honesty, I need a new one, but seems like such a waste to buy a new filter when it could be salvaged.

I pulled it apart, and found that the pieces were basically disintegrating. I could play around with the part to get my impeller to spin again, but it would just lock back up.

They are not designed to be serviced. Basically they make them as inexpensively as they possibly can.

Definitely not surprised, thought I'd check my options before ultimately having to buy a new pump. I'll scour the web to see if I can't get a deal on one. Thanks!
