Is the test using existing Taylor Reagents still documented and/or obtainable somewhere? The links are broken....

No, that test hasn't been available for a while. Only some of the reagents were from Taylor.

The links in this post to mannitol powder and bromothymol blue indicator dye both available at Amazon are still active links. My post after the linked one describes the procedure. I still have my original kit and it still works reliably (I just tested my borate level last week both with the kit and with LaMotte test strips). Apparently, this indicator dye is pretty stable.
