help Trying to close pool today

I would like to close my pool today but my PH is about 8.0. Is that a problem? I have read that it should be between 7.2 and 7.6. What should I do. What will the high PH do?

Lower your PH to about 7.5 and you should be ok.

Found this in our pool school section:

Lower - Use muriatic acid. Found in the paint section of most Home Depot (HD) / Lowe's or hardware stores, it will quickly adjust your pH downward.

Muriatic acid should be poured very carefully in the flow of a return jet. The effect is noticeable within an hour or so.

You can use the Pool Calculator to determine how much you will need to use.
Keep in mind, changing your ph will change you TA as well
