Polaris BP4 leak

Tomorrow I plan to replace the seals in my booster pump. I have found tutorial son line and found the parts I need. The question I have is how are the two PVC pipes attached to the volute? Do I even need to remove these or can I leave the volute in place and take the pump off the back?

Thanks for the help. Oh, the lines are solid PVC, no quick disconnect or such.

You should not need to remove the plumbing to change the seals ... assuming you have enough room behind the motor to split the pump apart.
