Borate

Need some help finding a reliable Borate testing kit. Can someone give me a recommendation?

Nothing is really great for measuring borate. For swimming pools you don't really need much precision in your borate measurement, so we mostly use the LaMotte borate test strips (despite their problems).

Agreed, the small amount of precision you need isn't justified by the trouble and expense of a true kit for this test. It's really rare, but this is one exception where we will say it's "close enough"

When I added borates and when I drain and refill, I just use Pool Math to calculate how much to add, and assume it's right. I've only tried to measure the borate levels once, (not very accurately).
