A friend has asked me to get their hot tub up and running, apparently the controls and heater worked but at the last startup (over a year ago) the motor is seized. We're planning to replace rather than rebuild the motor for longevity (not having to do this again anytime soon...). The TFP forum helped me quite a bit with my pool so I figured I'd ask before I get in over my head, or waste time and money at the local pool/spa store...

Any info/input will be appreciated - Sources for the proper replacement pump, higher-efficiency pump upgrade options, installation tips (I've installed and rebuilt pumps before), wiring, etc.

Thanks forum!
