Bleach damage to gray plaster?

Hi; The guy whose company re-plastered our 2 pools said that using bleach will damage the plaster. I don't think he know what he is talking about but you these guys always try to blame anything wrong on the person taking care of the pool and not their workmanship. What are your thoughts?
34,000gals-5.0ppm, 7.4-7.8 ph. 60 cyanuric acid level, Total alkalinity 80-110

Any form of chlorine left sitting directly on the plaster can damage it. That is actually far more likely to happen with trichlor pucks, since liquid chlorine will mix into the water fairly quickly even if the pump is off.

As long as you add bleach in the way we recommend, pour slowly in front of a return jet with the pump running, you will be totally fine.

Some plaster colors (pigments, generally organic) that are added to pool plaster will "bleach out" in any kind of chlorinated water. There are color pigments that don't "bleach out" at all, even with bleach being poured directly onto it -- and that is the kind of color pigments (inorganic) your pool plasterer should use in the plaster mix, and only use.
