Hi guys, I just want to thank you all for such a great forum, I have installed a 7,700 gallon Bestway vinyl pool and am currently using the BBB method as described here, using solubor DOT as I am a farmer and have heaps of it on hand. I also have an SWG that is 2nd hand off a big inground pool allowing me to run it at around 20% for my small pool. All in all thanks to the info in this forum everything seems to be working well!

DOT is a low toxicity pesticide (I looked it up on Wikipedia http://goo.gl/gtR9i1) and you are using it as a borate source? I hope ChemGeek finds this thread.

It's just Boron in another form, it's fine, I use heaps of it. Everything is toxic in the right amounts, even beer unfortunately lol
