On August 21 2017 a total solar eclipse will be visible across the US. It should be pretty cool. Some members will probably be in the path of totality.

I was in the path of totality in Newport News VA in 1971 (or thereabouts) and remember it vividly. Any links that will describe the path?

We booked a hotel in some little town in SC that has a rooftop for viewing the eclipse. Can't wait! Hope it's not cloudy!
I'll be within just a few miles of the peak totality near Hopkinsville, KY. Hoping for a clear sky.
We plan to visit friends who live near Oak Ridge, TN. They are nearly the center of totality so we will just enjoy it from their back yard.

I am about 50 miles from Hopkinsville, in Mayfield. Should be a good show for us!
We are in the path and close to McClellanville SC, the place there the Eclipse will leave the US. We should have a great spot, but we are boring and I'm intrigued by some of the huge Eclipse viewing events going on. What does one do for an Eclipse party? It seems like it should be something epic to equal an event such as this.
I also try Googling solar eclipse this coming August 2017. I found very cool insights so far and I'm sure a lot of people will be excited to see this and I am one of them. It will be very one of the good show for that day.
I know, two weeks ago the moon just missed the sun. It won't miss again -ominous music plays-
It is going to be at a "bad" time for us at my school as it will be right in the middle of the buses taking the kids home 
We are extending the kid's school day and provide them with eclipse glasses. There is no way we could make sure the kids did not look at it AND we are worried about distracted drivers. Parents will be allowed to pick up their kids if they want/need to.
Going to neat to do the lessons on itand get to experience with the kids!
