Greetings! We just bought a home and it came with a big above ground Doughboy oval pool!
It had not been used or covered for a couple of years - there was an incredible amount of leaves and muck in the bottom. I didn't take a before picture because it was just to nasty to show anybody.
The fine folks at TPS (Yes, i've been lurking!) suggested we just change the entire liner and start anew, and to be honest if we were on city water it probably would have been the most cost effective method.
But we have been scooping and vacuuming for 2 weeks now, and we can now see the bottom. Time to start scrubbing, it appears.
Of course, all this is just in time to get the pool winterized.
