My next DIY project will be installing a pool timer with freeze protection. Just wondering if anyone had any advice on a good solid timer. Theres alot to choose from over the internet, and would like to get some suggestions on which brand or brands are known to have decent product.

ETA: Timer would only control pool pump. I have no other features.

thanks!

Intermatic PF1102T Freeze Protection Timer with Thermostat or Intermatic PE153F Digital Clock Metal Enclosure Freeze Protection would be good choices. At least in the case of the digital unit, it will control a two speed pump for some energy savings. They will both also allow you to pick the times when power is cheaper to run your pump. Also, no more having to walk out to the pool pump area to turn it on.
