New Pool Owner from Pennsylvania

Hi everyone! My name is John and I'm from Northeast Pennsylvania. I recently moved into a new home with an 18x36 in-ground pool and I am glad that TFP.com exists because I was clueless as to how to take care of this pool. The guy that sold me this house said "the chemicals are in the garage, just read the labels." Sure, don't I wish it was that easy!

Again, I've really learned a lot from this site so far and I'll be sure to visit often. Thanks!

At least you had someone to tell you where the chems/etc is...when we bought our house a few months ago all I got was a set of keys.

..............took me 2 days to figure out how to turnt he light on in the pool.
(why, it's a great idea to put a timer box in the garage (nowhere near the pool or fuse panel), hide it behind some boards, and have the switch for the pool light connected to it).
