So we moved the fire pit and incorporated into side of pool. Also moved tanning shelf...but overall plans are same.

We had a cave in under fire pit area...had a lot of rain this last weekend and ground is wet. They pumped water out before shooting gunite and mucked out the caved in area. The rebar crew was very fast and efficient. Gunite team very fast and amazing work...so interesting to watch. We had our camp chairs out there all day to watch the show!

Here are some pics! Daughter is helping to set up the gunite.

Just a few pics. Thanks everyone!

The spa design with the spillways is really nice looking - and the raised beam across the back looks great too. Since your design looks pretty upscale, I would recommend you start looking at some tile choices now if you haven't already picked some out. I noticed your bid sheet had standard 6x6, for those of us who didn't already have their tile chosen and included as part of the bid, almost all of us ended up upgrading at least one level and it seems the PB comes to you 3 days before he wants to put tile in and says "make your selection" and then if you pick something that has to get ordered... it adds a delay.

This seems to be a good time of year to start your pool build. Can't wait to watch - Karen

Thank you, Karen! He is dropping off the selections next week. I will tell him to bring some upgraded tiles too!

- - - Updated - - -

I am also going to ask him to stub out the pool columns with gas so, that we can go back and add fire bowls next year. I just had to stop somewhere! LOL

Oh - and don't let Glock see the drinks on the counter! (He prefers you lead your updates with references to how alcoholic beverages can be supported) Fire bowls - yes. We love builds with fire (even if they are future fire bowls) -Karen

Looking great. Love the design and good idea on stubbing out for the fire bowls. They always add a wow factor. Keep the pics coming.

Oh and I will piggy back off of Karen's suggestion, asking with the tile be thinking about the grout color too. We had to make a quick decision last minute while the tile guys were there because we didn't like the grout cookout the pb chose.
