Polaris 280 quick disconnect too loose

I had to replace my Polaris 280 quick disconnect and the pressure relief valve. I needed two hands to turn and disconnect the old one. The new one just pops right on very easily. The problem is its too loose and when I turn on the pump it disconnects itself from the wall fitting.

Am I missing something here or do I need to replace the wall fitting as well?

Yes you need to replace the wall fitting as well usually it comes with one you probably compromised the wall fitting when having to force the old one out pretty common not to worry just get a new wall fitting

Thanks I did replace the wall fitting and it works great. I have an older 280 and compared the parts. The black rubber washer around the inside part of the quick disconnect is definitely thinner than on the original. It also makes a tighter fit with the new wall fitting. So I guess its best to replace it all.
