Proline/Goldline Valve Actuator GVA-24 Voltage

Can anyone confirm if the Proline valve control runs off of 24 AC or DC voltage? Hayward has said it is DC, but I'm not sure I believe that statement given the other competitor controls are all AC.

I have always seen the pool actuators (Jandy, Intermatic) listed as 24 VAC ... and since all the actuators are stated as interchangeable, Hayward would have to be as well.

24 volts AC.

Thanks for the responses. Hayward corrected their prior support email after I questioned its accuracy. 24VAC so it should work with an irrigation valve. I also found a connector and replacement wire for $12 from Jandy.
