I am looking at buying a home

but there is a 30 by 15 foot swimming pool in the backyard that has been filled in with dirt
the home was built in the 1970s
and i imagine the pool was built sometime around then 70 or 80s
It might have been built with the house im really unsure of age
but u can tell its pretty old

there was a diving board. so it has to be at least 8 foot deep i imagine on one end

the homes foundation seems fine there is no cracking in the foundation its a slab

How can i tell if the pool was closed properly

what do i need to know about the scenario

could i feesiabley resurface the pool? even i fthe bottom was punctured
The decking appears to be fair not to badly cracked

or which is mostl likely ignore the pool completly and it wont effect the house

it could have been fiberglass or vinyal lined. \
there is just some white rim around the area.
that appears cracked
and a cement foundation

is a closed pool something i should run away from or
just ignore and itll be ok. in terms of home buying

the house is a great deal for the price. and the area.
and the home seems fairly intact

the foundation of the home is not cracked.
its poored on a slab

Hope you can help me figure it out
Ill try to send a picture later
