Stenner with built in 7 day timer - Should I buy it?

Hi guys,

I see many use Stenner pumps with an added timer on this side that the pump is plugged into. Why not just buy the Stenner pump with the built in programmable 7 day timer for metered doses of chlorine or acid?

I'm looking to buy a Stenner pump and this seems to be a good solution. Wondering why more people don't buy this model... Or would it be a mistake to do so?

Well, there is the chance that the timers will get out of sync and start adding chemicals when the pump is not running. Although that risk is likely pretty low as long as you have buffer on both ends of the pump run time.
