Add skimmer weir, no holes for pins

I have debris reentering the pool after the pump shuts off and I would like to add a skimmer weir. There are no visible holes though. There is a piece where the weir would attach that fits down into 3 slots with a screw holding it in place. It doesn't appear to be broken like the door broke off, it has a clean edge.

Is it possible that this piece would be removed and a weir would slide down into those slots? The only ones I can find require holes.

Are there tabs on the sides of the little piece that is screwed in?

At previous house I had to replace my weir and the new one came with the little piece that is screwed down. Can you maybe add a picture of what you are seeing?

The other alternative are the universal weirs that have spring-loaded rubber feet that just press up against the sides of the skimmer.

Your description matches what I have. I ended picking up an Aquapower weir. It has spring loaded rubber feet that push out to hold it in place. Slipped right in.
