Getting ready to close down the pool for the season.
My spa seat has four SP1434 hydro spa jets. Three came out without a problem, but the 4th is jammed solid. The 4 tabs/ears on the retainer ring have broken off.
I've tried using needle-nose pliers into the small holes in the retainer ring, but the ring still won't budge.
Can't tell if the ring is cross-threaded into the bulkhead fitting or not, but the ring won't move in either direction.
Anyone have suggestions? When I used to use a pool service to close the pool one of the other jets must've given the service tech a problem -- he just broke the ring off with a screwdriver and damaged the bulkhead threads in the process. I am trying to avoid the same result.
