Pool is 5 years old with a deck around it. The signature here has a link to what it all looks like...my question is do I need to be concerned about the rust I found around the skimmer. See pics attached.

Does that area stay wet? You might consider digging a trench around it and laying down some perforated flex drain.

It would concern me. If it is just surface rust, you can prob scrape it down to bare metal then paint it. If you have soft spots in the wall, that would be even more concerning. At the very least, I would try to get the grade to slope away from your pool and try to get the base to dry out.
