Springtails in Pool

Installed 17,000 gallon inground pool two weeks ago (SWG) and had sod laid about a week ago.

I now have a huge springtail problem in the pool, I have tried the following

1. Shocked pool ( like up to radiation levels)

2. Used diluted mild diswashing soap spray, which seems to work okay, but not a long term effective solution

I am looking for something that will chemically or biologically send these pests to see their maker,

Thanks for your ideas etc

p.s I ruled out napalm and agent orange as this might upset the neighbors

I think he means these.

Adding borates to the pool might help. Aside from that, you're probably going to need to treat your yard with something like diazinon.
