Hey we just opened a public spray park. We are using the Chemtrol 250 ORP/PH and I would like to know what level to set it at. I assume the chlorine should be around 3ppm or 750mv. Would that be correct?

Welcome to TFP!

The ideal ORP level for your specific situation needs to be determined by balancing everything using manual testing and then seeing what your particular ORP sensor reads with your particular water conditions. ORP readings can vary in response to things other than the FC level, so you need to regularly test the water with a test kit and update your ORP goal as needed.

The ideal FC level depends on your CYA level and may also be constrained by local regulations. Depending on the rules in your area you may need to adjust the CYA level so that the required FC level is appropriate. In general, public pools often need FC levels higher than what we normally recommend. All of the charts and nearly all of the advice here is designed for private pools. Still, the basic FC/CYA relationship holds. Higher CYA levels require higher FC levels.
